Welcome again. I'm glad I made it after haviing some troubles with Eblogger. In this installation of the blog, I'd like to introduce the three customs I have put together since last Wonderfest. I used three out of the four Amazon Acroyear heads to make these. Enjoy and see you next time...mot

I took the Green bits from a Gundam updgrade kit and glued them into position with paper-glue. If you use model glue or super-glue, it will cloud up the plastic.

Here, in it's open position...

Here the right arm weapon is shown in it's 'closed' position

The shield is from a 'professional' garage-kit maker. I've been seeing more and more of these kits showing up at the hobby shop. It's mostly Gundam stuff, but occasionally you find some something

The right arm weapon comes from some new Yujin figures based on some kind of Robot video game. The figures aren't gasshapon, but nearly. Anyone know this part?

I think this WWII sticker worked well with this weapon

Here's how to attach a GI arm (or any other appendage) to your Microman. Just take the double-ball part out of the shoulder, clip off the little ball (that's right, don't waste time sawing) and superglue the ball the arm after both surfaces have been sanded somewhat.

As you can see, the arm is a bit bulky. I like it for this figure.

Originally, I wasn't going to use this head, but sometimes when the custom ball gets rolling, things take on a life of their own. That's another one of the fun things about this hobby.

Now, this idea came from the discussion that took place on this blog concerning the chance that those WF figures were molded or painted. I said they didn't look painted, but then I remembered someone a while ago had painted a bunch of TTs with clear paint, so I tried it out and it worked pretty well!

I think I will finish him today. I just want to add a few bits of armor and maybe some kind of weapon. Not too much armor, just enough to kind of make the feet blend in with the rest of the figure
Posted by Picasa

I took a Machine Force lower leg and attached a 98 Acoyear foot to it via a small ball joint, did the 'real' paint job and there ya go.

I whipped this guy together in about a week (total time about 2 hours or so not counting drying time). I didn't bother with the airbrush. I just used spray-paint for the silver parts and then went in and hand-painted the black parts, later drybrushing them chrome silver, which I tried to use more sparingly than before.

I like this picture

I still haven't named him. Acro Naga Seargeant?

I still can't believe I waited 12 hours in line to score this head

Rear view, left side. I capped the shoulders with Military Force armor.

I'm not sure what I was looking for with this view

I'm glad Palisades came out with the Centaurus. If they hadn't, the laser crossbows would be too expensive for this project.
Posted by Picasa

back view-I actually put a lot of stickers on this figure but most of them can't be seen in these photos as they are too small or tucked away in tiny places. Nice to know they are there, though.

on the factory floor...parts are Beta Midget Larva torso and arms, Gundam tank, Palisades laser crossbows and WF Amazon head
