Agreed. I know it's supposed to be a female Acroyear, but the yellow is way too cheap-looking for my taste, too.
Bry, if you wanted to paint like this, it's easy. First, just spray paint the pieces flat black and let them dry. Then, with an old, stiff brush, drybrush lightly with silver (I usually use chrome-silver but it doesn't matter much) and that's it.
If you don't remember, drybrushing is when you put a bunch of paint on the brush then wipe it all off with a cloth and then just brush all over the piece, staying away from the innermost crevices.
Surprising how easy it is and the end result is usually pretty good as you can more easily see the sculpted details.

Metis is actually my favorite of the six Magne Force but hey Metallic real type is cool too.
